Place the padded area of the eyelash curler at the base of your upper lashes as close to the eyelid as possible, close the eyelash curler, and squeeze gradually for 5 to 7 seconds. Repeat on the other eye.
2. Get beauty products on mascara wands
When you pull the mascara wand out of the tube, make sure the bristles are coated with product. Wipe off any excess clumps on the opening of the tube and don't pump the wand in and out of the tube repeatedly as this will force air into the tube and make the mascara dry faster.
3. Apply eyelashes correctly
Place the mascara bristles at the base of your upper lashes, then move the wand toward the tips of your lashes in a zigzag motion. This action ensures maximum coverage without clumping lashes. Starting at the root of your lashes also provides maximum volume and density at the root, leaving your lashes light and flowing without weighing them down.
4. Separate eyelashes
If you apply a lot of mascara to your lashes and notice any clumps, use a mascara blush or a clean spoolie to gently comb through your lashes to separate them and remove any clumps.
5. Apply a second coat if necessary
